Greetings:
A neighbor recently pointed out that the old link to our neighborhood covenants isn't working. So this post will attempt to remedy that. I'll try to post a link to the covenants. But first here's a refresher on why our subdivision has these legally enforceable covenants.
The answer is simple - to keep our property values high!
Left unchecked, some homeowners invariably let their houses fall into disrepair or they engage in other activity which is inconsistent with keeping a subdivision problem free (for instance, parking an unregistered "dead storage" vehicle in the driveway, or letting foot-tall weeds overtake the yard).
Not only are these eyesores to your fellow residents, but a neighborhood which "lets itself go" is a like a welcome sign for unsavory elements and criminal activity.
In the end, these conditions erode property values and make it more difficult for you to sell your home for a fair price at some point down the road.A neighbor recently pointed out that the old link to our neighborhood covenants isn't working. Please do make yourself familiar with the covenants; abiding by them makes for a happy neighborhood and eliminates the specter of facing liens and other penalties for non-compliance.
Until I figure out a good way to get the covenants back online, please drop me an e-mail if you'd like a copy.
